はじめに
TwitterのTLに、下記のようなツイートが流れてきて、Cologne Chip の GateMate FPGA なるものを知りました。

Cologne Chip は、ドイツの会社のようです。Fabは、Global Foundries で、ドイツの工場で作っているようです。

上記のサイトによると、

- Package : 324 balls 0.8 mm fine pitch ball grid array (FBGA), 15 x 15 mm
- Globalfoundries 28 nm SLP (Super Low Power) process
28nm だと、SPARTAN-7相当ですね。20,480 CPE となると、XC7S25 (23,360 Logic Cells) になりそうですね。
Document も色々あります。
開発用Kitは、GateMate FPGA Starter Kit (GateMate A1 FPGA) のようです。Digikeyによると、在庫あり(2023.05.07現在)で、35,213円でした。デバイス単体 CCGM1A1 は 4,575円のようです。
XC7S25-1CSGA225C が Digi-Key では、5,837円です。Mouser は 5.710円です。
CCGM1A1 (20,480 CPEs) - CCGM1A25 (512,000 CPEs) : A25 は A1 の 25倍のようです。ただし、A25はまだ出ていないようです。
開発用ツール
Cologne FPGAs are programmable with the Yosys framework coupled with a proprietary, but free-of-charge, place & route tool. You’ll need to register on the company’s website to have access to the pre-built binaries for Linux or Windows. Somehow the registration form does not work for me as I’m not receiving the verification email… And the documentation also gives direct access to the pre-build toolchains for Linux and Windows, plus instructions to build the tools from source.
とあります。どうやら、Yosys framework ベースのツールを使って開発するようで、Linux or Windows 版があるようですね。
おわりに
Xilinxの特許が切れ、色々なFPGAが出てきていますね。開発ツールは、Yosys ベースで提供する感じなんですかね。
