どんなことをやるかというと、
引用 Implementation of parallel programming models and parallel programming frameworks. Candidates will join an advanced development team building up prototypes of next generation tools. Candidates will participate in the implementation of compilers, runtimes, drivers and parallel programming APIs for hybrid CPU + FPGA computing systems. Application driven validation of the parallel programming framework and benchmarking of area and performance of parallel applications round out the job tasks. Prototyping of heterogeneous computing architectures. Development of prototype hybrid CPU + FPGA designs. Designs consist of general purpose processors, special purpose processors, application specific FPGA or ASIC accelerators as well as customized interconnect and memory architectures.
ようは、AlteraのOpenCLみたいなものを作るということ。
AlteraがOpenCLを公式に発表したのは、2011年11月15日。なので、1年半も昔です。当然それより前から始めている。
仕事の内容としてはかなり魅力的ですが、サンフランシスコまで通勤するには遠すぎます。
