はじめに
MobileyeがCES2024にて、EyeQ 7Hを発表しました。

EyeQ 7H
下記のXの投稿の写真によると、 既に量産中の EyeQ 5H、来年(2025年)量産の今はサンプル中の EyeQ 6Hの後で、2027年量産、Q2/2025サンプルのようです。
下記は2022年1月21日のCar Watchの記事です。
この時は、
- EyeQ Ultra
- EyeQ6 High
- EyeQ6 Light
というものを発表。
この時、EyeQ Ultraは、5nm, 176 TOPS (INT8), 4.2 TFLOPS とあります。そして、Q4/2023 ES, 2025年量産でした。
今回の発表での EyeQ 7H は、5nm, 67 TOPS (INT8), 60W(max), sample Q2/25, 2027年量産です。性能は半分以下で量産時期が2年遅れています。。
下記の2022年1月5日のCar Watchの記事にも詳しく書いてあります。
この記事の中の最後に、
いずれの製品も7nmのプロセスルールで製造される計画で、今年中にサンプル出荷が開始され、量産品の出荷は2024年末ごろになるとモービルアイでは説明している。
いずれの製品とは、EyeQ 6L/EyeQ 6H 。これらのサンプルが2022年、量産は2024年末とあります。
最初の記事では、EyeQ 6H がサンプル中で量産は2025年となっています。1年、遅れていますね。
EyeQ 6 Lite と EyeQ 6 High は、mobileye のサイトに以下のようにありました。
おわりに
EyeQ 6H は1年遅れで量産。EyeQ 7Hは性能が半分以下で2年遅れてサンプルおよび量産。。この遅れの理由は何なんでしょうか？
Mobileye の SECへの提出書から Inventories (在庫)の部分を抽出しました。なんか、在庫が増えています。これ、どうなんでしょうか？
2023年11月05日のSEC報告書のPage.22によると、
As of April 1, 2023, our solutions had been installed in approximately 800 vehicle models (including local country, year, and other vehicle model variations), and our System-on-Chips (“SoCs”) had been deployed in over 140 million vehicles. We are actively working with more than 50 Original Equipment Manufacturers (“OEMs”) worldwide on the implementation of our ADAS solutions. In the three months ended April 1, 2023, we shipped approximately 8.1 million of our systems, the substantial majority of which were EyeQ® SoCs. This represents an increase from the approximately 7.4 million of our systems that we shipped in the first three months of 2022.
とあります。
下記の Car watch の記事の下図(説明のために引用します)によると、
2021年までに 100M EYEQ SHIPPED TO DATE (数値を足すと99.1Mでした)とありますので、140 M から差し引いた 40M が 2022年 + 2023年1月-3月の増加分なんでしょうね。
2022年の最初の3ヶ月は、7.4M => 2023年の最初の 3ヶ月は、8.1M と着実に増やしていますね。
下記のビデオでは、2022年は 63.6M とありますね。
